Many intertwining paths led to the birth of lizzy lizzy. When founder Lizzy Sell moved from California to Berlin in 2016, she and a dear friend wanted to create an art project together, which began Lizzy's education in sewing and pattern making. Simultaneously, Lizzy started part time work as a fitting model and quickly discovered the ugly side of the fashion industry, particularly the textile waste and factory conditions. Somewhere along the way, lizzy lizzy was born, a brand with an emphasis on future-forward sustainabiliy and an obsession with the one-of-a-kind. lizzy lizzy is a slow fashion brand that's committed to transparent production and dedicated to making items that feel special. Using only deadstock or recylced fabrics, collections play with texture and color, experimenting with natural dyes while also drawing inspiration from people, psychology, and nature. The pieces aim to transcend seasonality and instead tell a more personal story: the unfolding of genuine self through the pleasure of dress up. lizzy lizzy isn't about what's trending right now- it's about emphasizing authentic personal style, while maintaining play in all things.
